I've Seen a Love: Almost 1...

I can't believe I am writing this post. 8 more days and my baby will be 1 year old! Where did the time go?

Over the last year, I have learned so much. Not just about taking care of a baby, but also about myself. I never knew that I could love a person SO much! He is becoming this amazing little person, with a personality all his own. I can see so much of myself and my husband in him. It's just a heart-bursting feeling of unconditional love.

My little boy is growing up. So fast! He is 23 lbs, 29" tall and has 8 teeth. He crawls (VERY fast!), pulls up to standing, climbs on stuff, and knows no danger. He's still working on eating more solids, but so far loves pickles, mashed potatoes, oranges, crackers and yogurt. His sleep is very regulated now, thank goodness. I thought I'd never sleep again for a while there. He goes to bed at 8pm and wakes up between 6am and 7am. He's still on two naps a day, typically one in the morning for 1.5 hours, and one in the afternoon for 1.5 hours. He loves to watch Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune. Enjoys laughing, the outdoors, strolling, playing in his "kitchen," petting his doggies (even though they usually run away) and adores all his grandparents!

We are making final preparations for his party this Saturday. We have a pavilion in the park rented, a photographer booked. I made all the centerpieces, banners and signs. We are having hot dogs, hamburgers, salads and cake. Mickey Mouse theme. I'm so excited...but it's all so bittersweet. I never imagined time could go by so quickly!
