2014 was...a blur!

2014 went by so fast, but in a good way. So many amazing things happened this year - most of all - Brady milestones! Turning 1. Walking. Baby jabbering. Christmas #2.

I fall more and more in love with my little boy every day that passes. It's just so fascinating to watch him grow and learn new things. <3

A few of my favorite photos from Christmas:.

Thanksgiving 2014

Crazy how much difference a year can make. Last year, Brady was just 5 months old...not crawling and slept in his bouncer through dinner. This year, he sat in his high chair like a big boy...ate what we ate...and played the whole day with only 1 nap. It was a great day!

Last year...

This year's pics...

Thanksgiving Eve, we just stayed home and relaxed. Brady has been sitting in anything and everything he can fit his little butt into...including these bins from his toy organizer!

Breakfast the morning of Thanksgiving. Note the toy pie on his tray :)

After we all got ready, we decided to take a trip to Meijer. Doug had gone that morning at 6am to buy his PS4 and a couple games...but he decided there was another game he wanted that he didn't pick up yet. Brady was in a really great mood. He kept giggling at everything and flirting with all of the ladies. Young, old, doesn't matter...he's an equal opportunity flirt!

After Meijer, we went back home to get the dogs and packed up to head over to Grandpa's house.
Once we got there, Brady booked it to the TV to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!
And look, he's standing IN one of his toys!

He freaking LOVES Elmo...especially this chicken dance Elmo!

I didn't get any dinner pics...but snapped this as he was getting into the chocolate cream pie.
He wasn't sure at first...

But once he realized it tasted delicious, he dug right in!

The next morning, Mom came over so Doug and I could go out on Black Friday and get a few things, including this couch for Brady. We also got him a Lions Mickey Mouse blanket. Doug got a couple other games, a jersey; and I got some tops from Target and Old Navy.

After we arrived back home, we just hung out around the house :)

And Brady jumped in one of his tubs!

We're all ready for Christmas! Tree is up. Shopping is done. And presents are wrapped!
3 more weeks of work then 2 full weeks off!

P.S. I'm down 15 lbs. and sorta on diet hiatus until the new year. 15-20 more pounds to go before beginning half marathon training next spring!

Happy Holidays, Everyone!

Yeah!

Down 8 lbs in about 8 weeks. But now I've caught a nasty cold...so my weight is fluctuating the last couple days (water weight, I'm guessing). Either way, I'm itching to get back to walking/jogging again!

SeaWheeze 2015

So I made a quick decision to try to register for the Lululemon half marathon (SeaWheeze) next August in Vancouver. Registration opened on Wednesday at 1pm EST. Mom and I had just gone to lunch and arrived home, so I thought I'd just see if I could even get in to register. I got into the waiting room and asked mom if she'd be willing to go with me if I could register...of course she said yes. After 5 minutes of constant refreshing, I got in and registered. It was limited to only 10,016 people. Always 10,000...the 16 is for the number of years Lululemon has been around. It sold out within 15 minutes! I'm so freaking excited!!!

Goals

I've been very bad about blogging lately. I think about stuff I want to write, but just never find the time to do it.

Brady is 14.5 months now and walking everywhere...sometimes running. He's so energetic! He loves to play with all of his toys, and especially loves his ride on ones. He enjoys going on walks (strolls). He's a great sleeper from 8pm-6 or 7am...and puts himself to sleep in his crib. A happy baby...loves his grandmas and grandpas! He's such an awesome little man. <3

My weight loss is going well. In the 6 weeks since I started, I've lost 7 lbs. Down to 152 from 159. My goal is 130 lbs by end of January...and I'll re-evaluate from there and see if I want to lose 5-10 more. I'm thinking 120-130 is my happy weight. I've gotten down to 113 while working out a ton, but it was very difficult to maintain. I've been walking at least 2 miles a day. I have tried to throw some jogging in once a week, but my body still isn't ready for that just yet. I'm registering for my fourth half marathon (the Mini in Indianapolis next May). This will be my third time doing the Mini!
